Home Track Meet
We host a home track meet at Mead High School on Monday, April 6th at 3:30 pm. Students and families are welcome to come cheer on our Bulldogs!
CMAS Testing
CMAS testing takes place April 7-17. Our school offers free breakfast each morning to help students start their day off right. Parents are also welcome to send a snack with your student if you feel they may need one during testing. Please encourage your student to get a good night’s sleep as well as try their best on the test. We know the students of Mead Middle School are ready for the assessment and encourage them to try their hardest to show what they’ve learned.

ParentSquare: Our New District Communication Tool
St. Vrain Valley Schools will begin using ParentSquare, a new district communication tool that allows families to receive notifications based on their preferences. St. Vrain’s communications team will pilot ParentSquare for the remainder of the school year with the plan to expand access to schools at the start of the 2026-27 school year. We’re excited about the opportunities ParentSquare offers to streamline communication and will be working towards consolidating several of the tools families currently use into one convenient platform.
After spring break, parents and guardians will receive an email invitation to activate their ParentSquare account. This will allow families to download the mobile app, set language preferences, and choose how and when they receive notifications.
Visit the district website to learn more about ParentSquare.
From the Health Office
Students are not allowed to carry prescription medication or over the counter medication while in school. This includes Tylenol, Ibuprofen, cough drops and herbal supplements. All medication needs to be held in our health office and a Permission for Medication form must be completed and signed for each medication.
How sick is too sick to send your student to school? Please see here for the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment guidelines.
Year Long Late Start Schedule:
Wednesday, May 6th
988 Colorado Mental Health Line
A new state law requires schools to share information about the 988 Colorado Mental Health Line. The service provides free, confidential support 24/7 from trained specialists through calls, texts, or live chats. Families can learn more by visiting 988Colorado.com.
Attendance Updates & Absences
It is very important when a student is absent from school that the parent/guardian telephone on the morning of the absence (970) 535-4446.
Prearranged Absences: If a student knows he/she will be absent, the parent/guardian must contact the office. Failure to prearrange an absence may result in the absence not being excused.
Parents have 48 hours to excuse any absences or tardies. We encourage parents to obtain a doctor note to excuse the absence and submit that to the front office.
Make-Up Work:
- Check Schoology for homework and assignments.
- Collect any missed worksheets from the designated area in each classroom.
- See each teacher upon return.
Safety Reminders:
We have had students walking along the ditch to parents waiting to pick up their student along Welker Ave. after school. We realize after school pick ups are busy, but safety is our first priority and ask that parents and students use pick up/drop off lanes on our school grounds.
Parking Lot:
Drop students off on the West curb.
- If you are dropping off or picking up a student, please pull as far forward as possible in the lane and only drop off/pick up students at the curb. Please don’t “double park” and drop off/pick up students. It is dangerous for students to cross the pick up lane traffic to get to a car on the other side.
- The west curb is for “quick” drop offs. If you are going to park for an extended period of time, please park in a parking spot.
- If parking in the lot, please leave space for kids to walk in between cars. Also, please be very careful when pulling away from your spot.
- Please talk to your child about not running out into the parking lot to your car. Please reinforce that you will pick them up on the curb, or that they can use the crosswalk to get to your car in the parking lot.
- Please stay off your cell phone in our parking lot.
- Finally, please drive slowly and be patient with others. Don’t let frustration cause a preventable accident.
