Mead Middle recognized as Unified Champion School for inclusive programs

Mead Middle School has been named a Unified Champion School for its commitment to programs that embrace and include students with disabilities.

Administered by the Special Olympics, the Unified Champion School recognition is given to schools that highlight social inclusion for all students through intentionally planned activities. Mead Middle special education teacher Kristina Miller said eight Colorado schools were designated or redesignated this year, with only two of those being middle schools.
