A group of teachers and staff at Mead Middle School pose together, holding numbered plates, in a school cafeteria.
A woman with long brown hair smiles at the camera, wearing a checkered shirt and a necklace, against a gray background.

Bio

I am excited to be entering my 11th year at Mead Middle School and am truly grateful to live and work in the Mead community. As the Significant Support Needs Teacher, I have the privilege of working with incredible students and helping them build the skills, confidence, and independence they need to become everything they are meant to be.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education/Physical Education from Western Colorado University and my Master’s degree in Autism Spectrum Disorders from Grand Canyon University. In addition to teaching, I enjoy being involved in Mead Middle School athletics and have had the opportunity to help coach volleyball, basketball, and track.

Outside of school, I am a wife to a Network Engineer and a proud mom of three college students. Our family also includes two Great Pyrenees who keep life exciting! When I am not at school, you will most likely find me enjoying the outdoors. I love hiking, running, skiing, and just about anything that gets me outside and active.

A few things that make me me: I love Dave Matthews Band and Taylor Swift, and there is a pretty good chance you will find me with a Diet Coke in hand! Education
