No Late Start in October

The Colorado Department of Education has identified Wednesday, October 5 as the official statewide October Count Day for the 2016-2017 school year. To comply with this state mandate and ensure maximum attendance, St. Vrain Valley Schools will have a full day of school with a normal start time on Wednesday, October 5 in place of the previously scheduled late start day.

Your assistance with this important state requirement is greatly appreciated as funding for St. Vrain schools and the important resources for our students are directly impacted by the October 5 attendance numbers. For more information, please contact your school’s front office.

Thank you again for your ongoing support for our students and schools.

How can I find out what is happening in my child’s classes?

Infinite Campus: For Grades and Attendance

Mead Middle School teachers update their class grades and attendance via Infinite Campus (IC).  If you have an IC account, you are ready to go.  If you do not have an account, please see the office ladies.  You will need a valid ID to pick up your student’s login information.  If you cannot stop by the office, please call Micki in the office (970-535-4446) to make arrangements for getting your IC account information.

Schoology: For assignments, homework and class resources

Schoology is Mead Middle School’s learning management system (teacher website).  Your child’s assignments and class resources will be located on this site.  Returning parents and students already have a Schoology account.  Schoology account information will be sent out once your IC account has been created.  We will be sending out login information after Back to School Night.

Parking Lot in the Afternoon:

As you probably know, our parking lot is busy in the afternoon.  Please consider the following so we can relieve some of the congestion:

  1. If your child can ride the bus, please have them do so.

  2. Consider carpooling.  We do have a carpool list that families can opt into.  Just call the office for information.

  3. If you are close, consider letting your child ride a bike or walk.

  4. You can park in the neighborhood across the street and have your child use the crossing guard crossing to get to you.  That way you avoid the whole parking lot.

Thank you for considering these options

Student hours in the building:

All students not participating in a school activity or being directly supervised by an adult may not enter the building before 7:43 and must be out of the building by 3:00.  Outside supervision of students starts at 7:35 in the morning.  Students are supervised outside in the afternoon from 2:50 – 3pm.

Pay your Fees online!

Go to Rev Trak to pay your fees.

Picture Day:

Picture Day is September 1st.  Packets will be going home with your student shortly before that time.

Code of Conduct and Student Handbook:
