CMAS Testing:

As you know, this year all students in Colorado will be taking CMAS testing in place TCAP.  Because CMAS is a computerized test, we can no longer test all students in one week like the old TCAP test.  The testing schedule for CMAS will begin on March 9th and run through May 14th.  I know this sounds like quite a lot, but keep in mind that with the exception of 7th grade, (there is an addition of a social studies test), the number of testing sessions is exactly the same as TCAP.  It is my commitment that testing will not take over the school for 4th quarter.  For the most part, our schedule will remain the same.  This means students will take English tests in their English classes, Math tests in their Math classes, and Social Studies and Science tests in their Social Studies and Science classes.  Therefore, with the exception of the class periods when testing is taking place, instruction will carry on as usual.   A complete schedule of when grade levels are taking what tests can be found here.  To help us with testing, please do everything you can to have your student attend on the scheduled days.  If you have any questions about the CMAS testing, please contact me at the school.
