Bulldog Vocal Jazz

Vocal jazz is a rich genre with lots to offer young vocalists.  Vocal jazz is a great bridge to the harmonies and vocal styles of pop and a cappella singing (such as the style of "Pentatonix" and "FACE"), two genres many students are currently engaged in.  Students in Bulldog Vocal Jazz will participate in community performances and festivals, and perform at 1-2 school concerts throughout second semester. Community and festival opportunities being considered this year are a performance at the Dickens Opera House in Longmont and participating in either the St. Vrain Middle School Festival (March) or Skyline Jazz Festival (May). More details to come!

Auditions will be open to all 7th and 8th grade students enrolled in a music class.  Auditions are done in a group format with no individual singing required; some written paperwork is also required and due by the day of the audition.  Auditions this year will be held from 7:00am-7:45am on Friday, January 10th, with our first rehearsal beginning Tuesday, January 14th.  Audition packets are available in the choir room AND on the Bulldog Vocal Jazz Schoology Group (access code is VQ44J-ZD5S8).  We will rehearse every Tuesday and Friday morning from 7:00 - 7:45am during SECOND SEMESTER ONLY.
