Bulldog Vocal Jazz

Vocal jazz is a rich genre with lots to offer young vocalists.  Vocal jazz is a great bridge to the harmonies and vocal styles of pop and a cappella singing (such as the style of "Pentatonix" and "FACE"), two genres many students are currently engaged in.  Students in Bulldog Vocal Jazz will participate in the MMS Vocal and Instrumental Jazz Night in April, as well as the Skyline Jazz Festival in May.  Other community performances are also being planned, as well as performances at 1-2 school concerts.

Auditions will be open to all 7th and 8th grade students enrolled in a music class.  Auditions are done in a group format with no individual singing required; some written paperwork is also required and due by the day of the audition.  Auditions this year will be held from 7:00am-7:45am on Friday, January 5th, with our first rehearsal beginning Tuesday, January 8th.  Audition packets are available in the choir room AND on the Bulldog Vocal Jazz Schoology Group (access code is VQ44J-ZD5S8).  We will rehearse every Tuesday and Friday mornings from 7:00 - 7:45am during SECOND SEMESTER ONLY.
